Indoor Putting
Tiger Woods averaged just over 28 per round for this area of his game in 2008, Vijay Singh spends hours every week practicing it and it is most often cited by PGA pros as the difference between shooting 70 and shooting 100.
We’re talking about putting, obviously, and, like any golfer – professional or amateur – will tell you, there’s no such thing as too much practice when it comes to this part of your game. You do, after all, ‘putt for dough’ as they say. Well, there is ample opportunity to practice and perfect your ball-draining skills at the Scottish Golf Show, with no fewer than five separate indoor putting greens dotted throughout the venue – and that’s not including the 50-foot monster putt competition.
Indeed, if you’re a bit of a ‘cool hand’ on the green, then step right up and have a go and sinking our devilish putt. There are great prizes up for grabs for those who manage!
That aside, however, you can practice away until your heart’s content on our bespoke indoor putting surfaces. Combined, they account for around 285sq/m of floor-space, so there’s plenty of room for everyone to have a go, plus you will be able to try out all different kinds of putters from blades to mallet-heads and everything in between.
Our surfaces are ultra-realistic, too, and will give you a clear indication of just how proficient a putter you are. There’s no such thing as too much putting practice – as visitors to the 2008 Scottish Golf Show will discover!
