Yardage problems solved at
2008 Scottish Golf Show

Golfers who struggle with working out their yardages or who find stroke-savers about as much use as a driver without a shaft will be delighted to hear that help is at hand – and it’s to be found at the third annual Scottish Golf Show, taking place at the Royal HighlandCentre in Ingliston from April 4-6.

DMC Golf will use the three-day golfing bonanza to showcase their CaddyAid product to the Scottish market for the very first time.

Having already established a reputation as one of the world’s most sophisticated golf course yardage calculators, CaddyAid is seen by many club golfers, journalists and professional caddies to be the best golf GPS distance finder in the world. Used by many tour professionals at the 2006 and 2007 Open Championship, as well as several other high-profile international tournaments, the GPS rangefinder provides an unparalleled amount of visual and distance information.

The CaddyAid GPS guide is the only product in the world which shows an aerial photo of the hole being played on its colour computerised touch screen. When standing at the ball, the player simply looks at the automated readout showing front and carry distances to any key point on the hole. Simply put, no other golf GPS device can compete with CaddyAid’s accurate and visual information.

In fact, it is so advanced that several top golfers and caddies have already given it their full endorsement, including Sergio Garcia’s right-hand-man, Billy Foster, as well as Lee Westwood and his Scottish caddie Alastair Maclean, and Australian pro Richard Green. Indeed, Green even claimed that the device helped save him three shots on his way to a final round of 64 and a share of fourth place in last year’s Open at Carnoustie.

DMC managing director David Morris is looking forward to releasing CaddyAid to the Scottish market at the Scottish Golf Show and said: “Our company is growing at a rate of knots and it is very exciting to be able to introduce our product to the ‘Home of Golf’ at the Scottish Golf Show. I’m expecting a fantastic three days at Ingliston.”

Golf Show director Tom Lovering added: “Scottish golfers are renowned for loving the latest equipment and gadgetry and so I am sure they will be blown away by CaddyAid. It’s a fantastic new product and one which I expect to enjoy great success in the Scottish market. With it at their disposal, Scottish golfers can kiss miscalculated shots goodbye forever.”

DMC-Golf will also be handing out free software worth £100 every hour during the show for those who enter a simple-to-answer competition – and here’s the question. Billy Foster used to caddie for Darren Clarke, but who does he work for now? Find out the answer and come along to the show and you could walk away with some fantastic free software.
