Free lessons from PGA on offer at
Scottish golf show

Visitors to this year’s Scottish Golf Show will be able to get free on-the-spot lessons with a Scottish PGA professional.

The announcement comes as yet another major boost to organisers of the Scottish Golf Show, which will be held at the Royal Highland Centre, near Ingliston, Edinburgh, on April 4-6.

Six Scottish PGA professionals will be operating six special driving range booths at the show, where they will give lessons to visitors. Each lesson is free of charge, courtesy of the Scottish Golf Show, and will last between ten and 15 minutes.

Over the course of the three-day show in Edinburgh, it is estimated that over 600 lessons will be given by fully-qualified PGA professionals, completely free of charge.
To take advantage of this fantastic opportunity, all visitors must pre-book their lesson at the official PGA desk at the show.

The Regional Secretary of the PGA Scottish Region, Gordon Dewar, said: “Everyone at the PGA Scottish Region is excited about our attendance at the 2008 Scottish Golf Show. This Show will allow a broad cross section of the Scottish golfing community to access the many skills that the PGA qualified professional can provide, with particular focus on coaching. “I sincerely hope that many of the public will take up a free short lesson with the attending PGA professionals, which can only be of benefit to their game as we approach the 2008 playing season.”

Event Director Tom Lovering said the securing of free lessons from a qualified PGA professional was a major coup for this year’s show.

“We are absolutely delighted that we are able to offer visitors to this year’s show a free lesson with a PGA professional. Thanks to our unique relationship with the PGA Scottish Region, visitors will now be able to come to the show, have a look at some of the very latest equipment in the industry, and leave a better player.”

The Scottish Golf Show will take place at the Royal Highland Centre, near Edinburgh, on April 4-6.
