Details about Port Glasgow GC

Yards 5,521 Par 68

A moorland course on the banks of the Firth of Clyde, Port Glasgow Golf Club offers panoramic views towards Ben Lomond, the Cowal and Kirkpatrick Hills and beyond. Designed by James Braid, the initial nine-hole layout was expanded to 18 holes in 1920 and, some 54 years later, a major redevelopment allowed the re-lengthening of five holes into a course which remains to this day. Port Glasgow is more a test of accuracy than brute force, with the judgement of players tested to the limits when the wind picks up.
